What is La Brasa?
A private app for couples. Each of you rates ideas on your own, from mild to fiery, and a card shows up for both of you only when you both want it. There is also a daily question you answer before seeing your partner's, and games for two.
Can my partner see what I said no to?
No. Your ratings are never shown to your partner. Only cards you both said yes to appear, as matches. Your answers to questions and games are shown only after your partner has answered too.
Can I use La Brasa on my own?
Yes. Choose “On my own for now” after signing in: you get a daily question just for you, cards to rate in private and your own map of what you’re drawn to. If you pair with a partner later, your ratings come with you and turn into matches straight away. Your solo answers stay private.
Do we both need the app?
Yes. Each of you installs La Brasa on your own phone, signs in, and you pair with an invite code. Testing alone? The app can pair you with a demo partner until your real partner joins.
How much does it cost?
Nothing to start: the daily question, every card and match, and every game level are free. La Brasa Plus is optional, for couples who want more: unlimited games, faster sparks for your ember and your whole History, one subscription for both of you. See La Brasa Plus.
Is it on iPhone?
Not yet. La Brasa is Android only for now.
Which languages does it speak?
English, Portuguese (Portugal) and Spanish (Spain), written by people, not machine-translated.
Who is it for?
Couples aged 18 and over. You choose your own heat level, from mild to fiery, and can change it any time.
Is my data sold or used for ads?
No. There are no ads and nothing is sold. The app uses analytics only if you say yes, never what you share, and notifications never show what your partner said. See the privacy policy for the details.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings, then Delete my data. It removes your account and everything in it. You can also ask by email; see the delete-account page.
What is the difference between the Google Play version and the one on this site?
They are the same app, signed with the same key, so either one installs over the other as an update. The version from this site updates itself and has one extra optional setting, Uncut, for adults.
Is it safe to install the APK from this site?
Yes. It is the same signed app as on Google Play, served from our own storage. Android checks the signature on every update, so only a build signed by us can update it.
How often is there something new?
Every Monday: new cards, questions and games, plus limited packs for the seasons.
