Truth or dare for couples: 60 truths and dares for two
Truth or dare is a party game, but it's at its best with two: no audience, no one to impress, just you finding out things and daring each other into being a bit silly. Here are house rules for couples, 30 truths, 30 dares from sweet to flirty and a version to play by text.
Everything here stays playful and warm, the same range as the sweet levels in La Brasa. The point is to laugh and get a little closer, not to embarrass anyone.
House rules for two
- Take turns. Choose truth or dare, then the other person asks or sets the challenge.
- Three passes each. Use them whenever you like, no questions asked.
- Any dare can be swapped once. If it's not for you, ask for another.
- Truths are honest, not exhaustive. You answer what's asked, not everything you've ever done.
- Nothing in front of other people, and nothing that costs money or breaks anything.
- Stop while it's still fun. The best rounds end with you both wanting one more.

Ways to play
- Classic: take turns, choose truth or dare, use the lists above.
- Coin toss: heads is truth, tails is dare. No choosing, more surprises.
- Points: a truth is one point, a dare is two, a pass costs one. The winner picks the next date.
- Write your own: each writes five truths and five dares on paper, folded in a bowl. Draw in turns.
- Long distance: play over a video call, or keep it going all day by text, one turn every hour.
Dare roulette, ready on your phone
La Brasa has Dare roulette for when you'd rather not come up with dares yourselves: pass one phone between you and draw dares at the level you choose, with no repeats until you've seen them all. Nothing is saved, so it stays between the two of you. Heat up works the same way: ten cards on one phone that start sweet and warm up as you go.

Questions
How do you play truth or dare as a couple?
Take turns choosing truth or dare. The other person asks a question or sets a challenge, and you answer honestly or do it. Agree a few rules first: everyone gets three passes, any dare can be swapped once, and nothing that would embarrass either of you in front of other people.
What are good truth questions for couples?
Ones that reveal something new without putting anyone on the spot: what they thought on your first date, their most-replayed memory of you, the habit of yours they secretly love, the moment they knew. There are 30 in this post, from sweet to a little cheeky.
Can you play truth or dare over text?
Yes. Truths work exactly the same, and dares turn into things you can do from anywhere: a voice note, a photo of where you are, the flirtiest message you can write. It's a good game for long-distance couples.
